HIPAA builds awareness and suggests policies for storing protected health information (PHI). QTAT provides highest levels of confidentiality and security to today’s healthcare providers. Security is managed at both the physical and logical levels for each process. We use legal, technological and training methods to achieve this. We support this important issue in many different ways:

Servers:
All data resides within the country in our servers in Houston.

Servers are secured by SonicWall firewall and via (secure-socket-layers) SSL connections using 256-bit encryption.

Passwords:
All passwords are stored in a locked and secure drawer.

Patient Information: No-longer-needed patient information is destroyed as per the client’s suggestion.

Physical Security:
Physical access to our facility is restricted with access control identification cards and 24/7 onsite security personnel.

Human Resources: QTAT’s human resource team conducts extensive background checks on all new employees.

 We also monitor and log all activities of employees on our systems.

Physical access to the various departments is constantly monitored and controlled by electronic access.

 As a part of continuing education, all members are trained on HIPAA, to build ‘level of awareness’.

All our employees sign a ‘business associate’ as a part of employment.
